Governor's Cup Road Race

Launched in 1973, the Lexington Medical Center Governor’s Cup Road Race is one of the oldest, continuously conducted road race events in the Southeast. The 2013 event will take place on November 9, and it will feature half-marathon, 8 kilometer, 4-mile walk and kids’ cup races. Many enhancements will be added this year! Runway Run 5K

The annual Runway Run first celebrated the re-opening of the main runway at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport in 2010 after completing a seven-month reconstruction process. In its fourth year, there is still excitement among participants to tread on highly secured tarmac where more than 85,000 passengers take off and land each month.
