The 2013 Fight For Air Climb is one of the most unique events held in Columbia, SC. Participants will raise money and make an impact in honor of those who have lost their lives to lung disease. Hundreds of people will huff and puff their way up 479 steps in the Capitol Center. Run Ella Run Memorial 5k

The Run Ella Run Memorial 5k is a running / walking event that raises funds for the Gabriella Shumate Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization created for the purpose of bringing happiness to children. The Run Ella Run Memorial 5k is also committed to raising DUI awareness and the prevention of unnecessary deaths.

Southeastern Piano Festival
June 9 - 15, 2013
Each summer the Southeastern Piano Festival transforms the University of South Carolina School of Music and Columbia into a major cultural destination that draws in audiences and young piano talent from across the United States. The week's events culminate with the Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, adjudicated by a distinguished panel of judges. Winners receive cash awards and the opportunity to perform with the South Carolina Philharmonic. For music lovers, the Festival offers nightly concerts by a rich lineup of world-class pianists.

Quarry Crusher Run
April 20, 2013
The Quarry Crusher Run is the only race of its kind in South Carolina and one of only a handful in the entire country. The approximately 3.72 mile route starts and finishes at the green space in front of Olympia and Granby Mills Apartments. Once in the quarry, the route winds down a 10% grade through granite cliffs to the quarry floor. The approximately 375-foot ascent from the quarry floor to the finish marks the grueling event as Columbia's most challenging foot race. Click here for more information.
