South Carolina Strike Out HD

Sign up for the inaugural South Carolina Bowl-A-Thon Strike Out HD. Teams are invited to participate in this bowl-a-thon at AMF Columbia Lanes on Bush River Road to support Huntington's Disease Society of America. Registration for this Columbia event includes two hours of bowling and shoes. Teams must have a minimum of two people and a maximum of four people. Roller Derby at Jamil Temple

The Columbia QuadSquad will compete at home against Duke City on June 8, 2014. The game will be at Jamil Temple in Columbia, South Carolina.  Flat track roller derby is a fast paced, hard-hittig sport requiring athleticism and agility. Bouts consist of a series of two minute jams with four blockers and one jammer, designated by a star on her helmet, from each team on the track. Southeastern Piano Festival

The Columbia City Jazz Summer Intensive

The 2013 Summer Intensive was an amazing success with dancers from all over the U.S. attending! This year, it's going to be BETTER! Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with a limited number of positions available, so if you're interested in attending, get your registrations in early. Museum Road Show at the SC State Museum

Inspired by PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow,” the program will offer informal appraisals of a variety of objects.  Museum curators and local experts will be on hand not only to discuss items, but also to provide tips on caring for the objects. Quilters Gallery Quilting & Knitting Expo
June 27-28, 2014
The Quilting and Knitting Expo in Columbia SC presents quilting fabrics, books, notions, and patterns.  Fiber enthusiasts will find yarns and sorts of things for knitting and felting.  If you love wool, there will be several wool vendors from which to choose.  Sewing machine and longarm machine vendors will be glad to give you test drive on any of the machines that they have in their booths.  Parking is free and there will be food available on site.
