Harborside Lights Celebration in Columbia, South Carolina

Last week, we posted a list of special events to look forward to this holiday season in Columbia, South Carolina. Today, we would like to take a closer look at one special event coming up this Saturday, December 10th. This 2011 holiday season brings the 8th Annual Harborside Lights celebration here in Columbia, South Carolina. Take a glance at the details below provided by Lake Carolina and start making plans to attend Harborside Lights with family and friends. Harborside Lights
Twinkling lights and grand luminaries shine bright on Lake Carolina! Lake Carolina's 8th Annual Harborside Lights celebration brings holiday tradition and family fun together. On Saturday, December 10 from 5PM - 8PM, hundreds of visitors will come to Town Center and the Village Green to experience the holiday magic. Photos with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, thousands of lights and decorated trees, warm food, live music and holiday shopping take center stage.

her around the dozens of decorated trees, sit cozy by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa and listen to the songs of carolers as they echo through the village. Treat yourself to sugar cookies and egg nog and curl up under the stars (and blanket) while enjoying a holiday outdoor movie.

Harborside Lights is a FREE event and open to the public. Bring your friends, your family, even your dog and come experience a holiday tradition like no other at Lake Carolina. Lake Carolina is located at 100 Lake Carolina Boulevard, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Lights Before Christmas
Now – December 30, 2011 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM (Closed Nov 24, Dec 24 & Dec 25)
Lights Before Christmas has become one of the most popular Columbia, South Carolina annual holiday events of the season. It is the only place in town where it snows every night and visitors can find nearly one million twinkling lights!

Holiday Lights on the River
NOW - December 31, 2011
Holiday Lights on the River offers the largest drive through lights show in the Midlands. Visit Saluda Shoals Park and watch as it comes alive with 400 themed, animated light displays on a 2 mile loop.

Christmas in Cayce
NOW – December 31, 2011
Cayce offers quite a few holiday events throughout December. To start, visitors can take a ride through the Cayce City Hall complex to enjoy twinkling lights, holiday displays, and festive music!

24th Annual Columbia Christmas Pageant

Join First Baptist Columbia for a unique event that has been a South Carolina Family Tradition since 1988. Admission is free but a ticket is required for this event. Tickets are available at the First Baptist Ticket Office.
